On the page
- Summary strip
- How many workflows you have, their steps in total, the runs kept and when a run last moved.
- Workflows
- One row per workflow: name, version, when it was updated, a short chain of its step titles, and its runs (how many are running, or that it was never run). A workflow can show that it is locked against assistants.
- Recent runs
- The latest runs across all workflows, each opening its run.
- Welcome
- With no workflow yet, three ways to get the first one (a template, the editor, or asking your assistant).
- Space switch
- If you belong to a company, a switch between your personal workflows and the company's.
What you can do
- New workflow
- Opens the editor with an empty workflow.
- Import
- Creates workflows from a Pathista export file. The result says what was created, or what to fix. Not offered on every account.
- Export all
- Downloads all your workflows as one file (definitions only, no runs). Not offered on every account.
- Delete (trash icon)
- Deletes a workflow and all its versions after a confirmation. A workflow with runs cannot be deleted and shows a lock instead.
- Move to company
- For a company member, moves a workflow into the company library after a confirmation.
- Runs link
- Opens the run list filtered to that workflow.
Workflow editor
/workflows/new/workflows/{id}Where you write a workflow as a form while a live graph redraws beside it. Every save is a new version; runs that already started keep the version they started on.

On the page
- Preview
- The graph of the workflow as you type, with its number of steps and edges. Problems that stop a save are listed above the form.
- Workflow name
- The name, with the current version number and the date of the last save.
- Steps
- One card per step. A normal step has a title, a prompt (what the assistant is told to do), an optional description and an optional checklist, one item per line. A step can instead run another workflow, and then names the workflow and the next step.
- Where it goes next
- The edges out of a step: where it goes, a label (the choice the assistant names) and an optional condition. A step with no edge ends the run.
- Variables
- Named values every run starts with. The assistant changes them, and conditions on edges read them.
- History
- The saved versions, each with its author and date. Versions never change.
- Access
- For a company workflow only: who may change it, and a way to move it back to personal.
What you can do
- Add step / Add edge / Add variable
- Add a new part to the form.
- Move up, down, remove
- Reorder or remove a step.
- How conditions work
- Opens a short explanation of what a condition may say.
- Create / Save as new version
- Saves the form. If someone saved a newer version meanwhile, you can load it (your changes are dropped).
- Discard / Back
- Leaves the editor and returns to the list.
- Export
- Downloads the saved version as a file to import on another Pathista. Not offered on every account.
- Lock
- Locks the workflow so an assistant cannot change it. You can still edit it here, after a confirmation.
- Restore as new version
- Copies an old version into a new one. It happens at once when nothing is unsaved, and asks first when there are unsaved changes.
