Workflow glossary - Pathista help center
Updated
This glossary defines the words used to run workflows with an AI assistant: workflow, step, edge, condition, run, sub-run, todo, checklist, evidence, note, MCP and MCP connector. Each definition is the one Pathista uses in the app and in the help center, and links to the longer explanation on the concepts page.

Words from the assistant's side
- MCP (Model Context Protocol): an open-source standard for connecting AI applications to external systems (source). Pathista is an MCP server: an assistant that supports MCP can call its tools.
- MCP connector: the word some assistants use for an MCP server you add to them. Claude calls it a custom connector and ChatGPT a custom MCP server. Once you have allowed it, Pathista lists it as a connected app on your account page.
