Customer interview synthesis: example workflow - Pathista help center

To turn several customer interviews into insights, make every claim traceable. The Pathista template records one card per interview with word-for-word quotes and their place in the notes, asks you to check a sample against the sources, and counts a theme only when at least two different interviews back it.
The problem
Interview summaries drift: a paraphrase becomes a quote, one vivid comment becomes a theme and a conclusion rests on three people. The template makes the assistant keep the evidence next to every claim.
How the template handles it
The assistant still reads the notes and writes the cards. The sample check is how you catch a wrong quote, which is why that step asks you.
- One interview at a time. A counter,
interviewsLeft, drives a loop: the run returns to the next interview until every interview has a card. - Each card holds three to eight quotes copied word for word, each with its place in the notes, and the words “not said” where the notes are silent.
- You check a sample: at least three quotes from three different cards are shown to you, and you search the original notes for them. A mismatch sends that card back, for up to three rounds.
- A theme needs at least two interviews and is reported with its count, such as “4 of 7”. A comment from one interview goes on a list of single mentions.
- With fewer than five interviews the template calls the insights leads, not findings.
Make it yours
Add the template to your workflows and edit it: the questions, the number of quotes or the wording of the cards. A step inside a loop has several rounds, one for each interview, and the run's page shows each round.
One step as an example
Words in code type, such as checkRound, are the template's own variables: small yes/no values or counters that the assistant sets during the run and that decide which way out of a step is open.
